Course Description for a website making program (WordPress)

I can provide PDFs for the students.  They don't need to order any books.

The Website for WORD PRESS is going to be fun.
Session 1
a)  What does Word Press offer?
b) What do other blogging sites offer?
c) What kind of website do you need?  a blog, a pamphlet, an online store, a place to promote a product?
d) How do you plan to connect your website (wordpress or other site) to your social media?
e)  How will you plan to use video in your wordpress or website?

Everyone leaves class with a skeleton of the website

Homework:  answer these questions and talk with instructor by phone or email
Start filling in the skeleton.

Session 2
Bring your skeletons with some information in place.
Arrive ready to work in class and to help give feedback to the other classmates
The full structure of the website should be ready by the end of the second session (and you can go LIVE).

Homework:  continue to add to the wordpress site or other website.
Communicate with the instructor to begin adding social media links.

Session 3
We have presentations of each other's website.  Feedback is giving and additional fixes are suggested.
Video is a dynamic addition.
If you have not added at least one video, then we will produce a 30-second or one-minute video for your website.

Followup:  The instructor offers free follow up for the next 6 months to make sure the blog or word press or whatever is used actually works for the creator.
Videos that have not been added by the end of the class can be added during this post-course period.

(if this word press class is ever held on Central Campus, I request Building 9, room 102, great computer lab.   I hope we can get a similar lab in North Campus)
